Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Rancher – Stevensville, Maryland
This one-story rancher in Stevensville was staged by TLC Home Staging & Design to create broad buyer appeal while respecting the home's distinctive architectural style and finishes.
The home featured a strong masculine aesthetic, with dark cabinetry, substantial stonework, and richly patterned granite throughout. Rather than trying to soften or hide these features, TLC Home embraced them by selecting rich colors, warm textures, and Chesapeake-inspired artwork that complemented the home's natural character.
To broaden the home's appeal, the staging introduced a subtle contrast in the primary bedroom. Softer textiles, layered bedding, and elegant accessories created a more serene and inviting retreat, helping female buyers connect emotionally with the space while maintaining the home's overall design integrity.

This updated rancher in Capitol Heights was staged by TLC Home Staging & Design to showcase just how comfortable and livable a smaller home can be.
The sellers had completed thoughtful updates throughout the home, creating a fresh foundation for staging. TLC Home's role was to build on those improvements by selecting furnishings and accessories that highlighted the home's functionality while maintaining an open, spacious feel.
Because of the home's modest footprint, every piece was chosen with intention. Strategic furniture placement demonstrated comfortable everyday living without overwhelming the rooms, helping buyers easily understand how each space could function.
This project is a wonderful example of how great seller updates combined with professional staging can maximize buyer appeal and create a memorable first impression.
