Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Terry's team has over 50 years of staging experience and can handle any job, no matter how big or small. Townhouse – Pasadena, Maryland
This vacant townhouse in Pasadena was staged by TLC Home Staging & Design to help overcome a space that felt overly dark and monochromatic despite recent updates.
The home featured extensive beige and tan finishes throughout, including a tan kitchen, which caused the small townhouse to feel dull and dim rather than fresh and inviting. TLC Home approached the staging with a focus on brightening the overall presentation through carefully selected furniture, artwork, and accessories that introduced contrast, energy, and visual interest without fighting the existing finishes.
One particularly unique challenge was the primary bedroom, which included an unusual structure with significant exposed wiring. Rather than allowing the feature to feel awkward or unfinished, TLC Home designed the room in a way that demonstrated how the space could still be stylishly and comfortably decorated, helping buyers focus on potential rather than distraction.
The result was a brighter, more cohesive presentation that helped the townhouse feel more livable, modern, and buyer-friendly.

This one-story home in a 55+ community in Centreville was prepared for market through a staging consultation by TLC Home Staging & Design, focusing on helping the sellers determine what furnishings should stay, what should go, and how to create a more cohesive presentation.
One standout recommendation? Queen Anne furniture is almost always a “go” when preparing a home for today’s buyers. By editing heavier traditional pieces and refining the remaining furnishings, the home immediately felt lighter and more current.
TLC Home coordinated the family room, kitchen dining area, living room, dining room, and primary bedroom, thoughtfully blending the sellers’ remaining furnishings with updated styling direction. The result was a more connected, welcoming presentation that still felt authentic to the home.
