Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Terry's team has over 50 years of staging experience and can handle any job, no matter how big or small. 1,800-Square-Foot Townhouse | Cape St. Claire (North Annapolis), Maryland
Nestled on the Broadneck Peninsula in North Annapolis, this 1,800-square-foot townhouse offered a wonderful layout but presented an initial challenge: a large mature tree shaded the front of the home, creating a darker interior than many buyers expect.
Rather than trying to fight the home's natural setting, TLC Home Staging & Design embraced it.
The staging focused on transforming the shaded spaces into warm, inviting rooms that felt intentional and comfortable. Soft textiles, light furnishings, carefully chosen artwork, and layered accessories helped brighten the interior while preserving the peaceful atmosphere created by the mature landscaping. Instead of feeling dark, the home welcomed buyers with a sense of comfort and retreat.
This project is a perfect example of how successful staging works with a home's unique characteristics rather than against them. Every property has features that make it distinctive, and thoughtful staging helps buyers appreciate those qualities while envisioning themselves living there.
