Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Terry's team has over 50 years of staging experience and can handle any job, no matter how big or small. TLC Home Staging was thrilled for the opportunity to stage this warm, attractive two-story colonial family home in Odenton. From the moment buyers entered, our goal was to create a beautiful, welcoming entry that set the tone for the entire home and immediately made visitors feel at ease.
Rather than changing what already worked, we thoughtfully worked with the existing wall colors, using furnishings, accessories, and layout to create attractive spaces with smooth, natural flow from room to room. Each area was staged to support family living—comfortable, connected, and easy to imagine as home.
This project is a great example of how professional staging doesn’t require a full overhaul to be effective. By enhancing what was already in place and focusing on flow and first impressions, the home felt cohesive, inviting, and buyer-ready.

Glen Burnie Bungalow Staging
TLC Home staged this very small one-story bungalow in Glen Burnie with a clear strategy: scale, simplicity, and restraint. In compact homes, furniture size and color choices matter even more, so we selected properly scaled furnishings and kept the color palette clean and minimal to help the home feel open, calm, and livable.
By avoiding visual clutter and focusing on proportion, buyers could easily understand how the space functions—and imagine themselves living comfortably within it. This project is a great example of how less truly is more when staging small homes.

TLC Home staged this townhouse with a clear target in mind—the first-time home buyer. The goal was to create a look that felt modern, clean, and move-in ready, while still offering warmth and comfort throughout the home.
On the upper two levels, we kept the design sharp, clean, and cool, using a streamlined palette and modern furnishings that reflect the style preferences of today’s entry-level buyers. Clear furniture placement helped define each space and highlight everyday livability without visual clutter.
In contrast, the lower-level basement featured warmer paint tones, which we intentionally leaned into to create a cozier, more relaxed feel. By adjusting the styling to complement the warmer walls, the basement became an inviting bonus space rather than an afterthought—perfect for lounging, work-from-home needs, or casual entertaining.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful staging adapts to each level of a home, ensuring consistency while allowing each space to serve its best purpose. The result was a balanced, buyer-ready townhouse that appealed emotionally and functionally to first-time buyers.

This two-story home in Bowie is one of our favorite before-and-after transformations. From the first walkthrough, we knew this property had incredible potential—especially with a few standout features already in place.
The sellers had elegant existing drapery and a rich brown dining room wall color that immediately inspired a more refined, elevated staging direction. Rather than replacing everything, TLC Home leaned into those strengths, designing around them to create a cohesive and sophisticated look throughout the main level.
We love working with select existing pieces when they add value to the design story. In this case, the deep dining room color became the anchor for an elegant palette layered with complementary textures, balanced furnishings, and intentional accessorizing. The result was warm, upscale, and emotionally engaging—while still appealing broadly to today’s buyers.
The before-and-after photos clearly show how thoughtful staging enhances flow, highlights architectural details, and transforms a house into a home buyers can connect with immediately.
