Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Terry's team has over 50 years of staging experience and can handle any job, no matter how big or small. This very small, one-story home in Shady SIde was full of charm, but its size meant that every detail needed to work hard—starting from the moment buyers walked through the front door. TLC Home’s goal was to create appeal and continuity from entry to exit, ensuring the home felt intentional, welcoming, and easy to understand.
We leaned into a coastal-inspired palette, using soft blues throughout to create visual flow and subtly coordinate with the home’s exterior and the relaxed Edgewater surroundings. While not a waterfront property, the styling nodded to the area’s coastal lifestyle—light, breezy, and approachable—without feeling theme-driven or overdone.
Careful furniture scale, thoughtful placement, and consistent color cues helped the home feel more cohesive and polished, proving that even the smallest homes can feel complete and emotionally engaging when staged with purpose.
This project is a perfect example of how professional staging elevates small properties, helping buyers focus on charm, lifestyle, and livability rather than square footage.
