Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Two-Story Cottage-Style Home – Riva, Maryland
This unique two-story home in Riva was staged by TLC Home Staging & Design to highlight its flexible layout and charming, cottage-style character. One of the most distinctive features of the property was the potential for an upper-level apartment or private living space, an appealing option for buyers seeking multi-generational living, guest accommodations, or rental potential.
Our staging approach focused on reinforcing the home’s warm, cottage-inspired feel while clearly defining how the spaces could function. The main living areas were styled with comfortable furnishings, layered textures, and soft accents that complemented the relaxed character of the home. Careful furniture placement helped show how the layout could support everyday living while maintaining an inviting flow between rooms.
Special attention was given to illustrating the upper-level living potential, allowing buyers to easily imagine how the space could serve as a private apartment, guest retreat, or flexible living area.

Elegant Two-Story Home – Crownsville, Maryland
This elegant 5,000-square-foot two-story home in Crownsville was prepared for market with a staging consultation by TLC Home Staging & Design. The property already featured many beautiful and high-end furnishings, making the goal of the consultation to refine the presentation rather than fully stage the home.
During the consultation, TLC Home guided the sellers on what to keep, what to remove, and how to reposition existing pieces to create a more cohesive and buyer-focused presentation. Strategic adjustments to furniture placement, room function, and accessory balance helped highlight the home’s generous scale and architectural features while maintaining the elegance already present in the home.
With a clear plan in place, the homeowners implemented the recommendations, and the transformation was dramatic. Before and after photos show a stunning improvement, demonstrating how thoughtful staging guidance can elevate even a well-furnished luxury home.
