Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Terry's team has over 50 years of staging experience and can handle any job, no matter how big or small. This beautifully renovated two-story home in Rockville featured a fresh white kitchen and an open-concept layout—a combination buyers love, but one that still benefits greatly from professional staging. When spaces are open and newly updated, buyers often struggle to understand how each area is meant to function without visual cues.
TLC Home’s staging approach focused on clarifying use while maintaining a clean, modern feel. One of the most effective design choices in this home was the addition of small benches and thoughtfully placed accent pieces, which subtly defined transition areas and helped buyers understand where to pause, gather, or move through the space.
These seemingly simple elements created structure within the open plan—guiding the eye, improving flow, and reinforcing livability without cluttering the home or competing with the renovation. The result was a space that felt intentional, polished, and easy to imagine living in.
This project is a great example of how even minimal staging choices can have a major impact, especially in renovated homes where buyers expect both style and function to be clearly presented.

This two-bedroom condo in Glen Burnie was a great example of how thoughtful staging can uncover extra opportunities in small spaces. TLC Home used modern, streamlined styling to enhance flow and keep the interior feeling open, current, and inviting—critical in condos where every square foot matters.
One of our favorite features to stage was the small porch. Rather than leaving it empty or overlooked, we intentionally styled it to show charm and usefulness—helping buyers see it as an extension of the living space and a place to relax, unwind, or enjoy fresh air. Highlighting these bonus areas adds perceived value and strengthens emotional connection, especially in smaller homes.
This project reinforces a core staging principle: when space is limited, purpose becomes even more important. Clear function and inviting style help buyers focus on lifestyle, not size.
