Terry Cooch established TLC Home, LLC in 2008, spending hundreds of hours assisting people in making their homes comfortable and functional. In 2012, Terry earned ASP certification as a stager. TLC Home now solely provides staging services, however, Terry's prior work as a professional organizer has given her the insight to provide practical ideas in her staging consultations, lessening the stress and enabling homeowners to take on the duties required to get their home sold. She enjoys both hands-on occupied and vacant staging, and she never fails to get enthusiastic when her staged property sells on the first day for top dollar and often multiple offers! Terry's team has over 50 years of staging experience and can handle any job, no matter how big or small. Two-Story Home – Severna Park, Maryland
This two-story home in Severna Park was prepared for market through a staging consultation and accessorizing by TLC Home Staging & Design, demonstrating how thoughtful styling can make a meaningful difference—even when every recommendation can't be followed.
One of the home's biggest challenges was a significant collection of Queen Anne furniture. While these pieces are often the first furnishings we recommend removing to appeal to today's buyers, the homeowners chose to keep them.
Rather than fighting the traditional furnishings, TLC Home developed a staging plan that worked with the existing pieces. Through carefully selected artwork, accessories, textiles, and styling, the home was given a lighter, more updated feel while respecting the sellers' wishes.
This project is a great reminder that successful staging isn't about achieving perfection—it's about making the best possible presentation within each homeowner's comfort level and circumstances. Even when major furnishings remain, strategic accessorizing can significantly improve buyer appeal.
