Ambrose Construction, now known as Ambrose Solar, started in 2013 offering remodeling and construction services. Over time, after witnessing poor customer treatment and subpar workmanship in the solar industry, Pat and Ian founded Ambrose Solar in 2017.


With a focus on excellent customer service and high-quality products, they have grown rapidly and now provide residential and commercial full-service solar and energy storage installation. Ambrose Solar installed our 20-panel system about 18 months ago. It has worked perfectly the entire time. Every person with whom we worked was friendly and professional, ranging from the estimator (Mark), the project managers (Vincent and Austin), the installers (a very friendly and hard-working crew whose names I cannot remember), and finally to the great Stephanie Reiser, who was indefatigable in pursuing my rebate from PG&E SGIP program. I chose Ambrose Solar primarily because it is local and their installers are employees rather than sub-contractors. While it is head-quartered in Vacaville and I live in Marin County, that is close enough. In addition, the portion of negative Web reviews seemed lower than with other installers that I considered. In all sincerity my past solar installs with other companies always had issues, but this went damn near flawlessly.
