As soon as I saw 40% off I knew the quote was going to come in high. 40% off retail he said (made up number, like Kohl's does). Once I said the quote was high the rep lowered it into reaching distance of the others. When I didn't say yes, he offered me a "cash today" price. The price was still a bit high but not egregious.
