The first two estimates were by the book, and much like a trip to the car dealership. "I can't give you the roof for less than X, let me call my supervisor..." Finally, I got a price more similar to other leading competition. I was willing to pay a couple hundred more than them because of Long's reputation. It's a good looking roof, expertly installed, expeditiously.

Pros: Communication, on-time for appointment, seemed knowledgeable of his product. Cons: PRICE...Quoted $37K and dropped to $27K before leaving with "initial visit" discounts. Got quotes from big box store and smaller roofing companies for the same job in the range of $13K - $18K! I got 4 quotes. I only got quotes from licensed and bonded companies.

Our roof started leaking 3 days after they complete replaced it. Two guys came back to fix it, but didn’t, and caused a new leak in a different spot. They left without telling us what was going on, and never got a call explaining why they left, and when the job would be completed. The work was done over two days. The roof March 5th, and the fascia and trim March 6th. The roof crew, while they did a superb job, could have cleaned up the nails a little better in our back yard. We’re still finding them. The team that did the trim & back siding did a spectacular job. Our home looks brand new!
