Had an Able estimator out last week regarding a roof leak. Was told the flashing needs replaced as well as the plumbing boot. Mind you I just had a home inspection 2 months prior as part of closing and the plumbing boot wasn't mentioned. Able's estimate came out to about $1500 and an attempt was made to close the sale right then and there. We hired Able to put in replacement windows for our home, and they look great. The salesman that came to our home for an estimate was patient and answered all of our questions. He also helped to come up with a creative solution to try and match some of our current window frames. He gave me a very competitive price compared to other window companies. They originally did what I thought was a great job on the roof. Then the leaking started where the roof meets the chimney. We tried to get someone to the house for the past week through this heavy rainstorm and someone finally came out yesterday. The crew said the problem was water was being absorbed by the chimney, then being deposited below the roof line. In gallons. Our roof job was completed in one day! During that day the people installing the roof contacted the foreman about some rotting wood (we knew we had it) on the apex of our home and the foreman was out quickly to survey the damage and give us the price of repair. The salesman we had come out initially was wonderful (Ryan Slate - we definitely recommend asking for him if you can) and we were given an estimate $1000 less than any other company who came out and offered the same type of work.
