Three years ago, when I bought my two-story condo, with its moss-laden roof, my realtor suggested that Pfeifer come and take care of things. Pfeifer hand-picked the moss - and cleaned gutters that had not been cleaned in a long while - years, I suspect. It took a while. The Pfeifer employees who cleaned our roof and gutters were courteous and thorough. My only complaint is that they splattered a fair amount of dirt and streaks on our windows. Nonetheless, overall I am quite satisfied with the job.

Do your research! I had 4 quotes from 4 reputable companies for a new roof. 3 of them were within a few thousand (between $22k and $25k). Pfeifer quoted me $40k (yes.. exact same product / warranty / demo / etc). I'm happy paying a little extra for quality, but this is absurd. They also claimed "other people won't do the job right", which didn't leave a nice taste in my mouth, due to the arrogance and implication that all other roofers are bad. Seriously?
