This low-slope roof was leaking due to improper roofing materials. Asphalt shingles are only recommended for 2/12 slopes (with extra precautiuons) or 4/12 and greater. Roofs with low slopes less than 2/12 can experience leaks due to water going under the shingles and leaking into the house.
