Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) is a high-density, synthetic rubber that provides long-term (40+ years) durability and weatherability. It offers quick and easy installation, and its elasticity is ideal for freeze/thaw conditions and hail-prone areas.
A Gaco Elastomeric Silicone Roof (GESF) is ideal for a flat (or sloped) roof. It offers a long-lasting waterproof membrane that protects against permanent ponding water, UV rays and extreme temperatures. GESF also sets quickly; it can be rained on after 2 hours of application and will not wash off. It even offers a 20-year warranty.

We are in the Pawtuxet neighborhood of Warwick, RI replacing a 30-year old 3-tab shingle roof. Since the house was built over 100 years ago, the old roof deck had spaced boards so we are bringing it up to current building code by installing plywood to achieve a solid surface for the new roof.
