Pinnacle Roofing assisted with this complete remodeling of this house. We replaced this old roof with the Landmark architectural shingles which have complex granule color blends and subtle shadow lines produce a distinctive color selection. Landmark series shingles are composed of a fiberglass mat base and then ceramic-coated mineral granules are tightly embedded in carefully refined, water-resistant asphalt. Two pieces of the shingle are firmly laminated together in a special, tough asphaltic cement.

Additionally, Pinnacle Roofing replaced two old skylights with Velux deck mounted Fixed Skylights. VELUX skylights that offer an industry-first, comprehensive “No Leak” warranty that covers the skylight and its installation against leaks for 10 years. Additionally, these skylights have improved energy efficiency (advanced Low-E3 coating) that provides more daylight and better heat control than any other glass previously offered. All skylights have triple LoE, dual-sealed, argon-gas-filled glass, and meet ENERGY STAR® requirements in all climate zones.

Pro - The Alaskan yellow cedar roof is much less likely to erode, and curl than that of the western red cedar roof. This immensely hard and durable species is vastly more enduring.

Pinnacle Roofing replaced the roof on the front of this house with CertainTeed Landmark asphalt shingles the Granite Gray color. The building code required that we install plywood over the old, worn sheathing boards to create a solid roofing surface.

Additionally, since this was a low-pitched roof, we installed CertainTeed's WinterGuard® waterproofing shingle underlayment on the majority of the front roof to prevent leaks. WinterGuard is a composite material of asphalt polymers, formed into a rolled sheet. The asphalt makes it vapor-tight, and the polymers make the asphalt elastic and sticky. This protective barrier is able to stretch and seal around nails driven through it.

WinterGuard is one of the key components in the CertainTeed Integrity Roof System® which is comprised of underlayments, shingles, accessory products and ventilation all working together. The Integrity Roof System is designed to provide optimum performance--no matter the weather conditions.
