Pinnacle Roofing & Skylights partnered with a commercial solar company to replace the roof at St Patricks Church and Academy to install a new roof and rooftop solar system. Pinnacle removed the old tar and gravel roof and installed an EPDM roof. As the substrate, we utilized the Helix adhesive foam system to adhere the installation below the EPDM rubber. We utilized the Aeroweb aerosol Lo-Voc to tenatiously to the insulation for a long lasting roof. All work met the manufacturer's 20-year specifications for a labor and material system warranty. Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) is a high-density, synthetic rubber that provides long-term (40+ years) durability and weatherability. It offers quick and easy installation, and its elasticity is ideal for freeze/thaw conditions of Rhode Island.
There was small roof that had been previously replaced so we cleaned and then installed a black silicone roof system to match the main roof. The Mule-Hide Silicone Roof Coating System provide a proven, guaranteed solution for renewing your weathered roof. It can be applied to virtually any existing roofing surface to create a seamless membrane that protects against permanent ponding water, ultraviolet light and severe weather.
Additionally, there were three very old skylights that we replaced with new Velux hip and ridge pyramid dome skylights. These skylights are made of custom made acrylic and have two layers for efficiency.
Lastly, our solar partner installed a photovoltaic rooftop system to generate electricity for the St. Patrick Church and Academy.

This older house needed a major update to the roof system. The house had spaced sheathing boards with 1-2" gaps which does not meet today's building code requirements.
