CertainTeed NorthGate® ClimateFlex

CertainTeed's Northgate ClimateFlex is designed and manufactured in the north for cold and harsh weather climates. NorthGate incorporates SBS modified asphalt and is unmatched by other standard asphalt shingles. The rubberizing aspect of SBS allows greater flexibility so the shingles resist cracking even in extreme cold-weather, allowing for year round application. SBS also offers superior granule adhesion which is one of the key components in protecting the shingle against the elements.  


The Northgate shingle comes in the Max Def Resawn Shake color option, which is an upgraded version of the Resawn Shake, featuring enhanced color definition and depth designed to provide a more vibrant and multi-dimensional appearance to your roof. The color options in this line include deeper and richer shades of browns, reds, and grays with additional color variations and accents for added visual appeal.

This was a tricky roof leak to identify the source. Ultimately the Pinnacle Roofing team identified the drain as the source as it had a negative slope, causing water to drain into the house!
