When we removed the old shingles from the roof we had a surprise underneath. The roof was poorly ventilated, causing excess condensation and moisture to delaminate the plywood decking. We replaced an old roof with CertainTeed asphalt shingles for the steep-pitch roof and rolled asphalt for the low-pitch roof.
