Pinnacle Roofing and Skylights replaced this roof under an insurance claim on Narraganset Ave in Jamestown RI.
This house was built in 1900 and as such the roof deck was built of plank boards so special care and attention was needed as part of this roof replacement. The wood decking was over a 100 years old, it was broken and no longer suitable for a new roof so the first step after removing the old shingles was to install a new plywood deck. This is required by the building code and manufacturer specifications to have a solidly sheathed deck to ensure the shingles are properly secured to prevent blow offs. This expense is usually covered under most homeowners policies as part of a building code upgrade coverage (i.e. we can not install a roof by standards from 20 or 30 years ago standards, but today's requirements).
Pinncle performed a co complete exterior renovation by replacing the roof with CertainTeed's Landmark Pro in the Burnt Sienna color and CertainTeed Monogram Dutchlap siding in the Cypress color.
