Pinnacle Roofing and Skylights completed a full roofing upgrade to this cottage in the downtown village of Jamestown, RI. As will many homes over 100 years old, the wood deck underneath the shingles was spaced sheathing boards. The current building code and manufacturer specifications require a solid roofing deck so all the shingles are secured and do not blow off. As such, Pinnacle installed new plywood decking over the old planks to provide a new surface to install the new roof.
