Pinnacle Roofing replaced the roof on the front of this house with CertainTeed Landmark asphalt shingles the Granite Gray color. The building code required that we install plywood over the old, worn sheathing boards to create a solid roofing surface.

Additionally, since this was a low-pitched roof, we installed CertainTeed's WinterGuard® waterproofing shingle underlayment on the majority of the front roof to prevent leaks. WinterGuard is a composite material of asphalt polymers, formed into a rolled sheet. The asphalt makes it vapor-tight, and the polymers make the asphalt elastic and sticky. This protective barrier is able to stretch and seal around nails driven through it.

WinterGuard is one of the key components in the CertainTeed Integrity Roof System® which is comprised of underlayments, shingles, accessory products and ventilation all working together. The Integrity Roof System is designed to provide optimum performance--no matter the weather conditions.

Pinnacle’s crew did a wonderful job on the flat roof of our sun parlor. The white membrane was a special order. The crew worked in “stocking feet” as they applied the “full adhesion” cement to the substrate and the membrane. I waited for the rain on 6/24/23 before writing this review. Pinnacle’s work restored the gentle slope of the roof to the wooden gutters of this 1928 gambrel colonial. Kudos also to the gentleman who delivered the dumpster!
