Pinnacle performed a complete exterior renovation of this waterfront home in Jamestown. The cedar shake siding shingles were worn out and starting to leak from wind blown water off the bay and the roof was also at the end of life. When conducting exterior renovations we recommend working from the top down; starting with the roof and down to the siding (to minimize the chance to damage to brand new siding or paint).
Pinnacle removed and replaced the roof with CertainTeed Landmark PRO in the Pewterwood color. Then we moved on to the siding by removing the old shake and then installed Henry BlueSkin on the entire exterior walls to protect the house from windblown rain. This is.a multipart system that provide a no leak warranty for siding replacements. Then we installed the James Hardie shake shingle in the special order color of Newport Green. A real challenge was the woven corners with the flared out corner on the bottom because the James Hardie is a durable, inflexible fiber cement, this mean meticoulsy crafting each shingle to meet the curve of the corner. Our most experienced siding installers made these come out perfect.

Pinnacle Roofing and Skylights was contracted to replace this roof on Walcott Ave in Jamestown RI. Along this road there are many old and historic properties so special care and attention was needed as part of this roof replacement. This house was built in 1883 and as such the roof deck was built of plank boards. As this wood was over a 140 years old, it was broken and no longer suitable for a new roof so the first step after removing the old shingles was to install a new plywood deck. This is required by the building code and manufacturer specifications to have a solidly sheathed deck to ensure the shingles are properly secured to prevent blow offs.
