Pinnacle Roofing and Skylights was contracted to replace this roof on Walcott Ave in Jamestown RI. Along this road there are many old and historic properties so special care and attention was needed as part of this roof replacement. This house was built in 1883 and as such the roof deck was built of plank boards. As this wood was over a 140 years old, it was broken and no longer suitable for a new roof so the first step after removing the old shingles was to install a new plywood deck. This is required by the building code and manufacturer specifications to have a solidly sheathed deck to ensure the shingles are properly secured to prevent blow offs.

Timing
