These skylights use the sun to charge the internal battery so they can be opened and closed with a touch of a button. The remote control allows for seasonal energy efficiency to open skylight to provide fresh air and reduce heat. Additionally, they have a built-in rain sensor so that if it rains they will automatically close.

Pinnacle Roofing & Skylights replaced the roof with the best products from CertainTeed and Velux.
Pinnacle installed CertainTeed's Northgate ClimateFlex shingles which are unique and superior to regular asphalt shiingles due to their rubberized asphalt makeup. This combination allows the shingle to remain flexible during cold seasons preventing the shingles from cracking so they last longer. The rubberized asphalt also remains sticky to the color granules stay longer on the shingles preventing balding of the shingles and harmful UV rays from breaking down the asphalt. The homeowner chose the new Espresso color, which is a deep brown.
Pinnacle replaced old Roto skylights with modern Velux skylights. The Velux skylights are triple pane glass filled with Argon gas for improved energy efficiency and a LOE coating for UV protection. These skylights are in reach, manually venting skylights allowing fresh air into the second floor bathroom and bedroom. The Velux skylights include solar-powered light filtering blinds for light and heat control.
