Pinnacle Roofing & Skylights completely overhauled this roof with new asphalt shingles, metal roofing, skylights, and gutters.
First, we replaced the old shingle roof with CertainTeed's Integrity Roof System with the Landmark PRO in Charcoal Black. The Landmark Pro architectural shingles improve upon the CertainTeed Landmark shingle, a leading consumer publication’s “Best Buy” for the past five years. The Pro adds more weathering asphalt to the industry’s toughest fiberglass mat to provide more protection and weighs 250 lbs/square.
We also replaced two old skylights with Velux Manual "Fresh Air" Skylights with solar-powered blinds. These solar-powered, double-pleated blackout blinds can boost energy performance up to 40%. Additionally, they can be remotely controlled for seasonal energy efficiency, including closing blinds at long winter nights to maximize energy efficiency and reduce heating costs. During the summer, the blinds can be closed during the peak daytime to provide shade and reduce heat.
Additionally, we added 6" gutters to catch all the water from the upper roof and direct it to the lower roof and prevent a deluge of water.
