This project has a multitude of materials, including asphalt shingles for the steep-pitch roofs and EPDM and Mod Bit rolled asphalt for the low-slope roof sections. Additionally, this project required the replacement of rotten trim boards with PVC trim boards.

Pinnacle Roofing replaced an old roof with multiple materials to address the unique characteristics of this roof. We installed CertainTeed Landmark Pro asphalt shingle for the steep-pitched roof and Flintlastic self-adhering SBS modified bitumen roofing system for the low-slope roof section.

Steep-Pitch Roof Roof Solution:

For the traditional sloped roof parts of the roof, we installed asphalt shingles from CertainTeed. The Landmark Pro architectural shingles improve upon the CertainTeed Landmark shingle, a leading consumer publication’s “Best Buy” for the past five years. The Pro adds more weathering asphalt to the industry’s toughest fiberglass mat to provide more protection and weighs 250 lbs/square. Also, the Landmark Pro has the Premium Max Def color palette plus a 15-year StreakFighter® algae resistance warranty.

Low-Pitch Roof Roof Solution:

Fror the rear roof section, we installed materials used extensively for flat, low-slope roof applications where water may not drain quickly, and thus the roofs need to be waterproof. The Flintlastic Self-Adhered Modified Bitumen (SA Mod-Bit) roof system delivers the reliable protection of traditional modified bitumen roofing. The advantage for homeowners is availability in ten colors designed and engineered to match the most popular shingle color blends. Rolled asphalt systems are used in both residential and commercial applications with the advantage of being lower cost.

Pinnacle’s crew did a wonderful job on the flat roof of our sun parlor. The white membrane was a special order. The crew worked in “stocking feet” as they applied the “full adhesion” cement to the substrate and the membrane. I waited for the rain on 6/24/23 before writing this review. Pinnacle’s work restored the gentle slope of the roof to the wooden gutters of this 1928 gambrel colonial. Kudos also to the gentleman who delivered the dumpster!

We were very pleased with installation of our new roof. It looks great. It included the roof over the deck and the roof on our shed, They made the repairs that were needed and ensured all the previous leak points were correctly handled. The team was very efficient and they cleaned as they worked. I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing work on a roof.
