We used Tamalpais Hardwood Floors to do the hardwood floors for our entire downstairs, which is about 1200 square feet. The crew was great to work with and they did an excellent job. They were very professional, reliable, and had really good communication. When it came to the end of the job, they were very conscientious about the cleanup, very thorough and service orientated.
The sales person I worked with at Tamalpais Hardwood Floors was really great. When the floors arrived from the manufacturer, he noticed that there were a lot of knots in the wood. We were having our entire downstairs done with this flooring and that wasn't what we wanted. He called the manufacturer and told them the wood product wasn't up to the standard or quality they had sold the customer and they were sending it back. Tamalpais Hardwood Floors provides a great product, great customer service and a good price. We have used them twice and had 2 very good experiences. This time we went with the engineered walnut which uses an oil stain - it looks amazing!!
The end product was excellent. There was a misunderstanding about the finish date which caused travel/hotel and additional expense and inconvenience.
