Ultra Windows is the company to go with in the Houston area. Randy is the owner and salesman and he will show you some beautiful windows. Don Young Aluminum windows are the way to go. They are thermally broken, so heat isn't transferred through the metal. They also have a really nice bronze color, so it's not that bright white window that doesn't match with the rest of your house.
